Lease
In the operating lease structure, Elyctrica's customers enter into a long-term 30-year lease contract for the power plant. Clients use all power as-generated. All this power is generated behind the meter and at the client's discretion can be sold to the utility for credits or based on agreements with the utility independent of the operating lease with Elyctrica.A client pays a fixed monthly for the block of power generated. Any excess power generated is provided to the customer at no extra cost.This structure creates a predictable cost structure with no exposure to market volatility.

What are Elyctrica's operating models ?
We develop, finance, build, own, and maintain assets for connected loads. Elyctrica uses Energy Services Agreements and Operating Leases. Both models involve 30-year terms. A custom behind-the-meter solution developed using ground-mounted, roof-mounted, or canopy-mounted solar, utility-scale battery, and natural gas-fired baseload and peaker generation, guarantees the customer a block of power over the term of the contract at a fixed price contracted as a lease or energy services agreement or power purchase agreement with defined escalation at appropriate times. These agreements are fixed-price contracts providing a predictable levelized cost of energy. We do not enter in short term 3 - 5 year contracts as we are building a dedicated behind the meter asset.

Elyctrica is an independent power producer focused on distributed power generation assets serving a specific load behind the meter.
Most current solutions are built around solar arrays, battery energy storage systems, natural gas turbines, reciprocating engines, and smaller gensets. Given the 30-year term of our contracts, we chose to use mature proven generation technology in our current solutions. That said, we continue to explore relationships and new technology that we can incorporate into our solutions to cheapen power supplied to our customers. We partner with innovators focused on wind power, geothermal generation, evolving solar panel technologies, promising battery chemistries, small hydro projects, electrolyzers for hydrogen generation tied to fuel cell power generation, and small modular reactors for nuclear-based base load.

Why do I need an Elyctrica behind the meter power generation solution ?
Based on customer feedback and solutions we have built in the recent past, three objectives are common with current customers.
- cost reduction and predictability compared to sourcing power from utility providers. Customers have reported price escalation on renewals and significant volatility in power price contracts. We provide long-term fixed prices with defined escalation over a 30-year term.
- inability of the utility to support rapid customer load growth. Some of our customers have turned to behind-the-meter solutions due to the utility's inability to keep pace with business and associated load growth due to constraints on aging transmission infrastructure. Onsite generation is the answer to the lack of transmission.
